The website, Felice Beato in Nineteenth-Century Japan, was created by Eleanor M. Hight, Professor Emerita of Art History and the Humanities at University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH, USA. It is an outgrowth of her exhibition and catalog, Felice Beato: Nineteenth-Century Photographer in Japan (Museum of Art, University of New Hampshire, 2011) and her book, Capturing Japan in Nineteenth-Century New England Collections (Ashgate, 2011).
